My first "official" blog! Well, to start off I want to thank you all for supporting me through out this journey. I wanted to make it extra special and I thought it was only appropriate to start off with my FIRST Pin-Up Pageant.
Going through these pictures brought me back to that day. My first Pin-Up Pageant I had ever entered which I won, Miss Battle Born 2011 held in Virginia City, NV. The feeling was so overwhelmingly amazing and a feeling I had never felt before. I was in LOVE and in that instant I knew this was it! I have always believed that the smallest steps forward are at times what changes our whole life and for me this was one of them.
My inspiration for this outfit was the classic old black and white Mexican movies that I watched as a child with my grandparents and the stunningly beautiful, classy and timeless actress of those days such as Maria Felix and Flor Silvestre. Being Mexican-born I have great love for my roots and feel that is the beauty of life to embrace our individuality. I hope you enjoyed going down memory lane with me and stay tuned for the next blog!
I want to send an extra special thank you to the Mugrosos Car Club- Carson City, NV, The Dead-End Cruisers, and everyone that made this event so memorable.
